Canadian Airport Fire Services has been in business since May 2014 and has the contract to supply firefighters and emergency services to the Ft McMurray airport. Our personnel conduct responses to all aircraft incidents, medical aid responses, fuel spill and all other responses. We also complete monthly inspections and annual testing of airfield firefighting equipment.
We also offer fire extinguisher training to the airport community. In 2016/17 Canadian Airport Fire Services also worked with Fort St John, BC airport (North Peace Regional Airport) to fill the gap between when they were required to offer ARFF coverage, and when they were in a position to do so.
